After her inaugural Dancing with the Stars hosting episode, Erin Andrews revealed how she felt about it. The Season 18 premiere was Monday night, featuring Andrews as the new host alongside Tom Bergeron in place of Brooke Burke Charvet.
She received a warm reception back to the ballroom, where she competed with Maksim Chmerkovskiy four years ago, and said it was great to be back.
“It's crazy because it feels kind of like family and I'm back, you know, to where I kind of grew up,” she told People after the show. "It's all brand-new because I'm the one asking the questions … and going over the judges critiquing them, so it's like familiar and not familiar.”
Andrews went on to admit she was nervous, but she said she also gets nervous when covering sports. The only difference is she wears a dress on Dancing with the Stars instead of a “blazer on the field.”
“My mouth got really dry, perspiration was a factor tonight,” she said.
We reported last month that Andrews would be replacing Burke Charvet as host, who tweeted at the time “I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake.”
