On Tuesday evening OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s network, released the first trailer to Lindsay, an 8 episode docu-series chronicling the rehabilitation, recovery, and eventual rise back to fame of actress Lindsay Lohan. News first spread of the shows debut in July of 2013 and was linked to rumors of an exclusive interview with Lindsay that was a set to be a teaser for the March 9th series premiere.
The Huffington Post reports that the series follows Lindsay soon after her sixth stay in court-ordered rehab is completed and she begins her life anew in New York. Her family and friends are close at hand, but this may not prove beneficial for the actress’s recovery. The trailer which begins with Lindsey saying, “There is nothing left in having a drink for me. What’s left in that feeling? Nothing,” soon moves to footage of a setback in the stars recovery, to which Oprah comes to save the day.
Lindsay’s parents Dina and Michael, who have seen their fair share of controversy in recent years, make appearances in the show as well according to The Hollywood Reporter. The stakes are high for Lindsay to succeed and this fact is not lost on her, “I know this is my last shot at doing what I love to do.” Watch the trailer below and tune in March 9th at 10pm on OWN.
