Dedicated viewers received early yet pleasant surprises from Fox, concerning some TV show renewals.
The popular comedies New Girl, The Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the action packed hit show, The Following will all return to the screens of avid TV watchers, according to USA Today
Brooklyn Nine-Nine took home the Golden Globe for Best Comedy but hasn’t done incredibly well in Fox’s ratings. On the other hand, crowd pleasers Zooey Deschanel and Mindy Kaling have soaked up all of the fame at Fox.
The spring premiere of The Mindy Project will occur on April 1st—what better day for a comedy to return than on a day filled with hopefully, comical jokes. New Girl will take on season 4 during the fall and although its still fairly new, it’s the oldest show being renewed, as reported by TV Blend
For those who enjoy being left at the edge of their seat and reciting Edgar Allan Poe poems, The Following is in fact renewed for a third season. Even though the second season isn’t finished, the show has collected a strong fan base, hopefully it won't turn into a cult following.
Other shows such as Almost Human and Rake haven’t had their fate decided, but hopefully some people can find solace in the four shows that did.
