Friends of L’Wren Scott were concerned but not worried she was going to kill herself, new sources are saying.
Fox News reports that Scott visited with friends the night before her death and although they were concerned about the fashion designer, they never would have thought she would commit suicide the next morning.
Cathy Horyn, former fashion critic of The New York Times, wrote a heartfelt remembrance of the late designer and friend. She wrote, “She was with friends on Sunday night, and yes, they were deeply concerned about her death, but, no, they didn’t think she would do something so desperate.”
Scott had been struggling with her business for the past year and earlier on, Horyn advised her to take a break.
However, she doesn’t believe that the bankruptcy of her company is the reason for her suicide last week.
“As painful as the decision must have been for her, I wouldn’t draw any conclusions from it about her state of mind,” she wrote.
Scott was the long-time girlfriend of Rolling Stone, Mick Jagger, and was described as a hard-working individual who “didn’t talk about her friends or clients… She had firm boundaries, and they applied equally to her relationships and confidences.”
The fashion designer worked with actresses and clients including Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker and Julianne Moore.
