Game of thrones author, George R.R. Martin, reveals he would like to work on a film adaptation.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Martin explained that he is considering making a film adaptation based on the HBO series.
"It all depends on how long the main series runs," Martin said. "Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger. It might need a feature to tie things up."
Thrones, on HBO, is based on the novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire.
Martin would like to make a film adaptation of its prequel series, Tales of Dunk and Egg, which features ancestors of some of the Thrones characters.
"They could be the basis for [a film]," Martin said. "I have written these three stories, and I have about a dozen more."
Entertainment Weekly reports that Season 4 of the seires will have character deaths, bigger sets, more battles, and bigger dragons.
"Particularly this season, and absolutely with Ygritte, there are so many characters out for blood," Thrones star, Rose Leslie, said
Warner Bros. is believed to be a well suited fit for the film, having done the film adaptation for HBO's Sex and the City, as well as its sequel, and will also distribute the upcoming film adaptation of the HBO series, Entourage.
Warner Bros. had major success with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug last year, earning $1 billion worldwide.
