Fans of HBO's Game of Thrones have one less thing to worry about, as author George R.R. Martin has told the television producers how his epic fantasy saga will end.

One of the biggest concerns for any die-hard Game of Thrones fan, aside from their favorite character being killed off, is that the television show will reach the events covered in A Dance With Dragons , the most recent book released in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. During an interview with Vanity Fair , Game of Thrones co-creator David Benioff said that his team met with the author and "literally went through every character" in order to plan out the rest of the series. "If you know the ending, then you can lay the groundwork for it. And so we want to know how everything ends," he said, reassuring fans that no matter what happens, the popular show will continue to run.

Season four of the show premiers April 6th, and will primarily cover the events in book three of the series, A Storm of Swords , reports Screenrant . However, the creators of the show have also said that they plan on pulling elements from books four and five to use in the current season as well, as the events in the last two books run concurrently with each other. Fans have wondered how many more seasons the HBO show can run for before George R.R. Martin releases The Winds of Winter , book six in the series. Martin has reportedly refused to give a release date for the novel.
