Stephen Curry earned his fourth career triple-double and the Golden State Warriors routed the New York Knicks 126-103 in Madison Square Garden Friday night.
The All-Star point guard seems to love MSG as he scored 54 points the last time he was there and went for 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, reports NBA.com. His stats from the two games at MSG put Curry in rare company.
Curry is now one of five players to have both scored 50 points and had a triple-double. The other four are LeBron James, Patrick Ewing, Carmelo Anthony and Bernard King.
Warriors teammate Klay Thompson scored 25 points as the three-point scoring duo combined for eight 3-point shots, according to The Associated Press.
Curry spoke of the game saying, "To get a win this year is bigger than any stats, but to play well and to impact the game the way I wanted to, it definitely felt great." His 54-point, 11-13 from beyond the arc game last year at MSG was spoiled by the team losing.
Anthony had 23 points and 16 rebounds in the loss to the Warriors. The team played frustrated after being routed for the second straight game. Center Tyson Chandler was tossed in the fourth quarter for earning two technical fouls.
The Warriors currently hold the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-23 record, while the Knicks are 21-38 and on the outside of playoff seeding in a dismal Eastern Conference.
