Hollywood union publicists have selected Alfonso Cuaron 's Gravity as the winner of the Maxwell Weinberg award for having the top movie campaign of 2013.
Gravity won over films such as American Hustle, Despicable Me 2, The Heat and Saving Mr. Banks, Variety reported.
The publicists that worked on Gravity for Warner Bros. were Jade Alex, Sharon Black, Cecilia Calderon, Mark Capaldi, Deva Cervera, Julie Cole, Melissa Crow, Justine Gamez, Mary Hunter, Kimberly Lerner, Jesse Mesa, Maureen O’Malley, Paulette Osorio, Emily Patt, Orna Pickens, Susan Shapiro, Gina Soliz and Lisa Stone.
The award was announced at Friday's 51st Annual International Cinematographers Guild Publicists Awards which took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Gravity has made over $703 million worldwide at the box office, including IMAX screenings for the larger than life space drama.
FX’s “American Horror Story: Coven,” won the top honor for TV. Taking home the Weinberg TV trophy. Coven won over strong TV competition.
The New York Daily News added that Gravity is up for a variety of awards at tonight's Oscars including best picture and best director.
