Gwyneth Paltrow’s website GOOP actually crashed on Tuesday after she and husband of 11 years, Chris Martin, announced their separation on it. The Oscar winner is now using it again to try to clarify the term they used to announce their split – “Conscious Uncoupling.”

Paltrow shared an article written by Dr. Habib Sadeghi and Dr. Sherry Sami below the split announcement, which sums up what exactly the term means.

There are six stages that the doctors refer to: Until Death Do Us Part, End of the Honeymoon, Intimacy & Insects, Conscious Uncoupling, Wholeness in Separation and Coming Together.

The doctors believe due to our high life expectancy rates, it’s nearly impossible to spend your entire life with just one person. "Our biology and psychology aren't set up to be with one person for four, five, or six decades,” they argued.

"The idea of being married to one person for life is too much pressure for anyone," they added, E! Online reports.

Paltrow and Martin have two children together; Apple and Moses. In their announcement they stated, “We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children” and they asked for privacy in the matter.
