Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband have confirmed they’re separating after a decade of marriage and two children. They made the announcement on the Oscar winner’s GOOP website.
In the message titled “Conscious Uncoupling,” Paltrow, 41, and the Coldplay frontman, 37, announce their split.
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the message read. "We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," they say. "We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."
People reports the parents of Apple and Moses also admit they’ve been trying to fix their marriage for “well over a year.” They note they have been both together and separated during that time and have apparently found it better to separated.
The couple have remained one of the most private celebrity couples out there - never appearing on red carpets together and rarely photographed together.
"We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner,” they concluded the message.
