After 10 years of being married actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin are calling it quits.
E! Online reports that the couple released a statement about their separation on Paltrow’s website, Goop. The post was title “Conscious Uncoupling.”
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
People added that despite the couple separating they are fully committed to their roles as parents and want to maintain a private lifestyle.
Paltrow and Martin said, "We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner."
The separation comes as a bit of a surprise as Paltrow said last year, the “best decision” in her life was marry Martin. Paltrow and Martin have two children, Apple Martin and Moses Martin.
