The male cast of How I Met Your Dad, the How I Met Your Mother spinoff in development at CBS, will include Workaholics star Anders Holm. Two other actors joined the cast this week.

Holm, who also had a role on The Mindy Project, will take a recurring role as Sally’s soon-to-be ex-husband Gavin, reports TV Line. Sally, of course, is being played by Frances Ha actress Greta Gerwig, who was cast last month.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Masters of Sex actor Nick D’Agosto will play Frank, who is Juliet’s IT guy for her fashion blog. Juliet is Sally’s best friend and is played by Krysta Rodriguez (Smash). Drew Tarver also has a role.

Andrew Santino will star as Sally’s uptight older brother. Santino currently stars on ABC’s Mixology, so if that show does get picked up for a second season, he won’t be able to keep the part.

HIMYD is similar to HIMYM, but from a woman’s perspective. HIMYM creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays are working with Emily Spivey on the project. The pilot will be filmed in Los Angeles, but subsequent episodes will be made in New York. It is a 20th Century Fox TV production.
