Orange Is The New Black fans will get more info on beloved characters via flashbacks when the show returns to Netflix in June.
According to Today, the show's creator Jenji Kohan told the PaleyFest audience that the new season will show the pasts of characters like Taystee, Lorna and Sister Ingalls, as well as the new character Vee, played by Lorraine Toussaint. Actor Jason Biggs, who plays Larry Bloom on the show, told Today that he is excited to learn more about the characters, saying "At the end of season one, I was like, Oh my god, there are still some characters who I want to see flashbacks for, so there's more of that. Which I love."
Actress Laura Prepon confirmed that she will return as Alex Vause for multiple episodes after rumors last year that she was leaving the series.
Last week the show released some spoiler-ish stills, including one of Kate Mulgrew's Red staring down fellow monosyllabically named character Vee, who has stirred up the casts enthusiasm. According to Seattle PI Mulgrew called working with Toussaint was "heavenly" and Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee, said it "felt like taking an Oprah master class."
