Jennifer Lawrence’s boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult, is opening up about his relationship with her in V Magazine. He said it was great getting to spend more time with her while shooting X-Men: Days of Future Past, noting in their industry, it’s hard to find time to be together when you’re in a relationship.
The couple met back in 2011 when they did a screen test for their roles in X-Men: First Class. They split briefly, but they’re now back together. Hoult even accompanied her to the Oscars earlier this month.
Hoult, 24, told V Magazine that despite his girlfriend’s star status skyrocketing due to an Academy Award and roles in movies such as American Hustle and The Hunger Games franchise, fame hasn’t changed her.
“The privacy thing obviously changes but the rest pretty much stays the same," he said. "It's like that thing whereby you don't believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it."
He added, "And I think that's something she's capable of doing, and that's what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways. It is well-deserved for her. I haven't really seen any change in her."
ABC News reports the couple’s X-Men film comes out in May and Hoult called getting the opportunity to work with her again a “brilliant thing.”
