NBA player Jimmer Fredette has signed with the Chicago Bulls after reaching a buyout with the Sacramento Kings.
ESPN reports that Fredette has chosen to sign with the Chicago Bulls, after being brought out by the Sacramento Kings earlier this week. Taj Gibson who already plays for the Bulls says that Fredette would be a great addition to the team, especially since Fredette didn't get much playing time while he was a member of the Kings. Gibson explains how, "I've seen that he's got talent."
Sports Illustrated reveals that Fredette, is in his third season in the NBA and is averaging 5.9 points and 11.3 minutes. The Bulls are in of a good player who can score a lot of points especially since they lost star players such as Derrick Rose and Luol Deng to injuries and they are making an huge effort to try and make it into the playoffs. The Bulls are currently ranked last in the NBA in scoring. Before becoming a player in the NBA Fredette was a superstar in college at BYU. During his senior year, Fredette lead all of college basketball by averaging 28.5 points per game and leading BYU to the final 16 round of the NCAA tournament. Also, as a senior Fredette received the Associated Press' player of the year. Fredette got drafted back in 2011 as the 10th pick of the Kings, but yet he didn't live of to his reputation as a great basketball player. However, singing with the Bulls will be a better fit for him because he is capable of expanding the floor even though he isn't the best defensive player.
