Rapper Kanye West is having some legal issues as he is facing charges for an altercation he had last year with a photographer at the Los Angeles International Airport.
People reports that West plead no contest to the misdemeanor battery charge, and continues to uphold his innocence. West did not enter the courtroom when his plea was presented. His attorney was the one who was present at the court hearing.
West was sentenced to: two years of probation, 250 hours of community service, and 24 anger management therapy sessions.
TMZ reports that since due to the plea of no contest West’s charge for attempt of grand theft was thrown out.
If West completes his probation without any violation the conviction will most likely be erased from his record. In addition to the sentencing West received he must pay for the photographers equipment and any medical bills he has.
The photographer that was caught in the mix up believes that West should have received harsher punishment. Due to the physical and emotional trauma he endured he believes West should be behind bars.
