Karl Lagerfeld has said a decent amount of controversial quotes. Including one he’s said about Pippa Middletown being better looking from behind. However, now his next victim is super model Cara Delevingne.
In his interview with The Guardian, Delevingne comes up in conversation after she walked in Lagerfeld’s supermarket Chanel show during Paris’ fashion week.
“She is not a standout beauty,” Lagerfeld said about Delevingne. “Was it Bacon who said, ‘There is not beauty without some strangeness in the proportions’?”
Not only is Delevingne one of the most popular models at the moment, according to USA Today, she is also one of Lagerfeld’s catwalk favorites. One of the things he loves about her most is her thick unconventional eyebrows.
Delevingne wasn’t the only subject Lagerfeld mentioned in the interview. He also discussed his distaste for selfies and tattoos.
“They are this horrible thing where you are distorted,” he said. “The chin is too big, the head is too small. No, this is electronic masturbation.”
In regard to tattoos, Lagerfeld isn’t a fan of them. In his eyes, “It’s like sleeping in a printed T-shirt, you will never get clean again.”
