Actress Kate Winslet who recently received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame revealed that she did all of her own stunts on the set of Divergent while being pregnant.
People reports that the 38-year-old actress dedication to the role stood out to the director of the film Neil Burger.
Burger was a lot more concerned about Winslet committing to all her stunts.
"It's pretty funny because she was pregnant when we were shooting, but she wanted to do her own stunt falls," said Roth. "She did a couple. She's you know, very careful about it, and then finally Neil Burger was like, 'Okay I'm too nervous – you can't do this anymore.'"
Burger went on to say that Winslet took charge on set and was very honest when she revealed her pregnancy to him. With Winslet’s glowing pregnancy minor changes were made through out the set of the film.
We had to refit all of her wardrobe, but then there is a scene where she fights Shailene and she was like, you know, taking the falls and I'm like, 'Stop, you're pregnant.' But she was still wanting to do it with as much action," said Burger. "She's a committed actress and she's a committed mother, too. But she is just completely there, and you kind of just have to stop her."
CNN reports that unique name that Winslet and husband Ned Rocknroll gave to their newborn child. The name of her son is Bear Blaze Winslet.
Winslet was ’Ellen’s’ Ellen DeGeneres show on Monday and told her the story behind the eccentric name.
Bear was a friend’s nickname and the Divergent actress really liked. "He was very much a bear, he was everybody's shoulder to cry on, he was a big bear hug. He was just this great figure in my life," said Winslet.
Bear’s middle name as has a significant meaning to Winslet and Rocknroll.
"Bear's second name is Blaze because my husband and I met in a house fire basically,” said Winslet. "The house burnt down and we survived, but we wanted something of the fire, and so Blaze was the name that we came up with.”
Divergent is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2014.
