Kyle Busch won Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in Fontana, California. This is Busch’s second consecutive win at that track.
As caution struck at the end it was anyone’s race during the final two laps. The Auto Club 400 race set a track-record 35 lead changes. The biggest issue of the day was tires. Everyone suffered from shredded tires, everyone except Busch.
Kyle Larson, Tony Stewart, and Kyle’s own brother Kurt were all so close to winning but Busch managed to take the victory. According to the Associated PressBusch was pumped about the win saying, “Holy cow, what do you expect when you've got a green-white-checkered finish and everybody has to come down pit road and put four tires on? That was 'Days of Thunder' right there. Unbelievable day."
Acccording to ESPN Busch is the fifth different Sprint Cup race winner in the five races held this season. This was Busch’s 29th career victory. Next week the drivers head to Martinsville Speedway.
