L’Wren Scott's funeral will reportedly be held in LA, according to Mick Jagger’s reps.
Scott’s body had been at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel in Manhattan since Wednesday. Her body will be flown to L.A. this weekend for the wake and funeral, reports Us Weekly.
These reports of the whereabouts of Scott’s funeral come days after the iconic fashion designer’s tragic death. On March 17, the 49-year-old was found dead in her apartment in NYC. Two days later, the Medical Exmainer’s office confirmed that her death was a suicide.
Scott had been facing financial troubles and her relationship with Jagger was reportedly on the rocks.
According to Page Six, the decision to hold the funeral in LA was that of her older brother, Randall Bambrough, and her longtime partner, Mick Jagger. Jagger lives in LA and has been urging for the body to be flown there, while making funeral arrangements.
Bambrough had flown from Utah, which is where the rest of Scott’s family lives, to NYC, to identify his sister’s body. After a falling out about six years ago between Bambrough and Scott’s only other sibling, Jan, Bambrough is trying to keep Jan from attending any of the services.
