Glee star, Lea Michele opens up about Cory Monteith’s passing and more during her interview with Seventeen Magazine.

According to Daily Mail, Moneith, 31, passed away in July 2013 from a lethal combination of alcohol and heroin. Michele was devastated by the news but she used her new album, Louder, as therapy during the difficult time.

"I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction—unfortunately, it won. But that wasn't who he was," the 27-year-old says of her former boyfriend, according to E! News. "Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, 'I'm your boyfriend,' I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful."

The singer said she chose to release her new album on March 4 for a special reason. Using a play on words she told the magazine, "Just think about it: we're going to 'March fo(u)rth.' We're going to march forth like a cannonball," Michele said.

Michele continued to say she is trying her best to live her life as best she can.

“I also feel an incredible, happy responsibility to keep the memory and light of [Cory, who] was the most amazing person.”
