Mortal Instruments: City of Bones actress looks stunning as she graces the cover of Lucky magazine. The brunette beauty is quickly rising in the entertainment industry and in the April 2014 issue she talks about her family connections, her famous brows, acting and more.
The daughter of British musician Phil Collins has always been around celebrities, according to the fashion magazine, but the actress was adamant about making it on her own.
“I wanted to be ready and confident as Lily before I put myself out there,” she said. “I felt I should go through the same rigorous audition processes as everyone else and be told ‘no.’ ”
Collins, who just celebrated her 25th birthday, according to Instyle, on March 18, talks about her famous dark eyebrows. She tried plucking them but realized she wasn’t herself without them.
“Brows are the statement piece of the face, and I’ve learned to embrace mine over the years. And I guess they speak for themselves now that they apparently have their own Twitter account,” she said.
At the end of the interview, Collins reveals the joy she gets from stepping into a character.
“I like disappearing for a little while,” she said. “I always wanted to be someone who could take other people into a world with me. As an actor, I’m able to jump into a story and become someone else for a time. It’s a beautiful journey.”
