Kirsten Stewart's latest project, American Ultra is heading to Lionsgate. The $7 million indie project which also stars Jesse Eisenberg will be distributed by Lionsgate in the United States.

The studio which is known for producing films such as the Hunger Games franchise and the upcoming Divergent, landed the rights before the project goes into production new month in New Orleans, Greater New Orleans reported.

Nima Nourizadeh will be directing the project from a script that was written by Max Landis. Nourizadeh is known for working on Project X, Variety reported.

American Ultra will tell the story of Eisenberg who will be playing a stoner who has his life turned upside down in a small town when he becomes the target of a government operation. The operation has one goal, to kill him. Stewart will be playing Eisenberg's girlfriend in the film.

This is the second time that Stewart will be co-starting with Eisenberg, the duo pervious worked on another indie film, Adventureland.
