Matt and Amy Roloff, the couple at the center of TLC’s hit Little People, Big World series, are separating, the couple confirmed Wednesday. The two had been married for 26 years.
In statements to People and E! News, the couple explained, “Though we have weathered many storms together, we recently made the tough decision to engage in a trial separation.”
The couple said that Matt will still live on their farm in the guest house, adding, “We work together everyday on the farm, on our business endeavors and most importantly, raising our amazing children.
“We sincerely appreciate the unwavering support, understanding and prayers from our family, friends and many fans. May God bless you,” the statement concluded.
The Roloffs will mention their trial separation during a special episode slated to air on March 25. Their show has focused on their life together as they raise their four children - twins Jeremy and Zack, 23; Molly, 20; and Jacob, 17. Zack and his parents have been diagnosed with dwarfism.
Little People, Big World began in 2006 and has lasted 12 seasons.
