L’Wren Scott’s loved ones gathered in Los Angeles on Tuesday to lay her to rest; with her longtime boyfriend Mick Jagger, actress Ellen Barkin and Rolling Stones backing vocalist Bernard Fowler among those in attendance.
Jagger’s daughter Karis read a poem, while his grandchildren Mazie and Zak read Psalm 23. The fashion designer’s friend, Barkin, spoke and Jagger himself gave a eulogy. Scott’s brother Randy Bambrough, her niece and her half-sister Jade spoke as well.
According to E! Online, the service was in Pasadena, Calif. and it was led by Reverend Ed Bacon of All Saints Church. Fowler and Dave Stewart performed "Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”
Scott committed suicide on March 17. She was found hanging in her Manhattan apartment and a day later Jagger reacted to her death on Facebook.
“I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way,” he wrote. “We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.”
