Mark Wahlberg will be this year's recipient of the MTV Generation Award.

The Wrap reports that Mark Wahlberg will receive the Generation Award at this years MTV Movie Awards.

Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, and Jerry Ferrara of HBO's Entourage will present the award. This will mark their first public appearance since the shows cancellation, and before the movie adaptation hits theaters next June.

The Generation Award is MTV's highest honor, given to those who have hooked MTV audiences throughout their career.

Ben Stiller, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Jamie Foxx, Jim Carey, Sandra Bullock, Tom Cruise, and Johnny Depp are all past recipients of this award.

"Mark has captivated the MTV audience for over 20 years, and for this rare feat, we're proud to recognize him with this year's Generation Award," MTV President Stephen Friedman said.

CBS News reports that Wahlberg will also be hosting the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards this year. He will also star in Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction, scheduled to hit theaters this June.

The 27th Annual Kids' Choice Awards will take place March 29 at the University of Southern california's Galen Center in Los Angeles.

The 2014 MTV Movie Awards will take place April 13 at the Nokia Theatre also in LA.
