Mona Scott-Young, creator of VH1's Love & Hip-Hop, is being sued.
VIBE reports that Young is being sued for $50 million for copyright infringement.
The plaintiffs clam that Young, and producers, rejected them after they pitched an idea for a show with the same concept.
They show was pitched as Hip-Hop Wives, and was supposed to feature the lives of DMX's ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, Swizz Beatz's ex-wife, Mashonda Tifere, Irv Gotti's ex-wife, Debbie Lorenzo, and Chrissy Lampkin, fiance of Jim Jones.
For the idea of Love & Hip-Hop, Young is being accused of breach of contract, breach of confidence, and fraud.
S2S Magazine reports that Young does not know much about the lawsuit.
In an interview with Sway Calloway on RapFix Live, Young revealed that she has not even been served with any lawsuit papers.
Young also stated that similar ideas may be brought to a network, but the cast is what determines its success. She also asks fans not to jump to conclusions when hearing about the lawsuit.
"I just want everyone to use a little common sense when processing the information." Young said.
Love & Hip-Hop has been renewed for a fifth season, which will premier late 2014.
