Mr. T will be the latest celebrity to enter the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Associated Press reports that Mr. T will be the next celebrity to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Mr. T teamed up with Hulk Hogan in the first WrestleMania in 1985. The two defeated "Rowdy," Roddy Piper, and "Mr. Wonderful," Paul Orndoff.

Mr. T will join other celebrities who were inducted, including Donald Trump, Drew Carey, Mike Tyson, Pete Rose, Bob Uecker, and William "Refrigerator" Perry.

According to TMZ, Mr. T had previously turned down a spot in the Hall of Fame in 2009, but gratefully accepted the honor this time around.

WWE chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, spoke to TMZ about giving the honor to Mr. T, who was the one to help introduce the WrestleMania franchise.

"His WWE appearances were instrumental in helping to establish WrestleMania as the pop-culture phenomenon it is today," McMahon said.

The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, April 5. WrestleMania 30 will take place the next day at the Superdome, and will air live on the WWE network.
