The citizens of the newly combined Indiana towns Pawnee and Eagleton will have to learn how to put up with each other for another year. NBC has officially renewed Parks and Recreation for a seventh season.

The network announced the news Wednesday night, shortly after it also renewed Grimm, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.

Although the show draws poor ratings, it has become the anchor for NBC’s Thursday night line-up. NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt said in January that the acclaimed show would be back for a seventh year.

It is important for NBC that Parks & Rec does come back, as there’s a strong possibility that it may be the only returning Thursday show next season. Community is always on the fence and both Sean Saves The World and The Michael J. Fox Show were cancelled earlier this season.

Parks & Rec has earned a slew of Emmy and Golden Globe nods and star Amy Poehler finally won a Golden Globe earlier this year. She plays the dedicated Leslie Knope and co-stars with Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, Adam Scott and Nick Offerman.

The show currently airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. NBC also has a development deal with Poehler, who is currently working on a comedy pilot for the network.
