The New York Giants struggled last season with a 7-9 record, and their offensive line largely contributed to their losing season. They began their quest to improve their offensive line by signing former Miami Dolphins guard John Jerry.

Jerry was named in the Ted Wells report, according to ESPN. This report revealed that Jerry was involved in the harassment of Jonathan Martin, along with fellow linemen Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey.

Martin was traded to the San Francisco 49ers, and Incognito still has not been signed by another team. Pouncey is still with the Dolphins though.

According to NBC Sports, Jerry started 45 games for the Dolphins. He will compete for a roster spot with the Giants.

There has been no disciplinary action against Jerry so far, and he has not spoken on the allegations since the report was released.

The Giants will look to return to the playoffs for the first time since winning the Super Bowl in the 2011 season.
