The underdog story added another page to its book in the NCAA tournament as No. 8 seed Kentucky stunned No. 2 seed Michigan 75-72.
Aaron Harrison sunk the game-winning three-pointer with 2.6 seconds remaining, and the Wolverines failed to send the game to overtime.
After being down 32-22, the Wildcats went on a 15-5 run to leave the game tied at halftime, according to WLKY. The Wildcats then led for most of the second half until Glenn Robinson III made a dunk to give the Wolverines the lead with 12:25 remaining.
The Wildcats regained the lead with 8:08 to go and held it until the Wolverines tied it with 31 seconds left on a layup by Jordan Morgan. Harrison then made his three-pointer to seal the win.
Julius Randle led the Wildcats with 16 points and 11 rebounds while James Young added 13 points. Harrison added another 12 while coming through in the clutch. Nik Stauskas led the Wolverines with 24 points, according to ESPN.
The Wildcats will look to continue their Cinderella story as they face the Wisconsin Badgers in the Final Four on April 5.
