90's heartthrob and singer, Rico Suave, will be getting his own reality show on VH1.
The Wrap reports that VH1 has ordered a 10 episode series that follows Rico Suave, real name Gerardo Mejia, and his family.
Mejia broke into the scene with his 1990 hit song "Rico Suave." after becoming a one-hit-wonder, Mejia became a music producer, credited to have help escalate the career of Enrique Iglesias and many others.
The show, with the working title of Suave Says, will be formatted into 10 half-hour episodes.
"Gerardo and his crazy, musical family truly break the reality TV mold," VH1's executive vice president of original programming and production, Susan Levison, said. "We knew we had our next buzzworthy series as soon as he walked through our door."
According to the Herald Online, the series will focus on Mejia and his wife, Kathy, as they try to keep the sanity in their family which includes their rapper son, Jaden, and their two daughters, Bianca, and Miss Teen Beverly Hills title holder and aspiring singer, Nadia.
Their 20-year-old niece Lexi and her son, will also appear in the show.
"I can't wait for VH1's audience to meet my wild family," Mejia said. "We're like Ricky and Lucy but with a handful of crazy kids trying to run my casa."
The new reality series will premier later this year.
