Rihanna has decided to take a more clever and viral approach to promote her upcoming Monster Tour with Eminem. The fashion icon pop singer posted a video from Teen Mom 2 on her Instagram to get people to recognize the upcoming tour.
According to Us Weekly, Rihanna is having a blast promoting her tour. She Instagrammed a video of Jenelle Evans from an episode of Teen Mom 2 when she told her lawyer that she couldn’t go to jail because of a Ke$ha concert. This video clip, from an episode in 2012, immediately went viral after it aired on MTV. Late night talk shows and some other shows, like The Soup, even made their own spoofs and commentary.
Rihanna decided to edit the video clip to say her name to get followers to want to go to her own concert. In the clip, Jenelle is caught saying, “I really can’t miss that concert. That’s why I got all these feathers in my hair. I bought clothes for the concert. I set up hotel rooms for the concert. It’s not just a concert it’s…” and that’s when Rihanna added in her own name. An announcer shouts “Rihannnnaaa!!” right at that moment, making the video post a hysterical and memorable one.
Evans couldn’t believe the shout out Rihanna gave her. She retweeted the video on Twitter saying, “dude Rihanna actually noticed me lol.”
