Alan Thicke, the father of “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke, is getting his own reality series called Unusually Thicke. The show will air on TVGN and 14 episodes have been ordered.
The former Growing Pains star’s show will premiere on April 16 at 10pm. It will features appearances from his famous son, as well as celebrity friends like Bill Maher, Magic Johnson, David Hasselhoff, Jay Leno, Bob Saget, Jon Stamos, Tom Green, Minnie Driver and Wayne Gretsky as well as the cast of How I Met Your Mother.
According to Deadline, the show is being described as a “reality sitcom.”
"Unusually Thicke combines my two favorite things: family...and laughing at my family," he said in a statement, E! Online reports. "This series is my foray into the ‘reality-ish' television world where viewers will meet the lovable, unpredictable, and often challenging people who live with the real Jason Seaver."
The show also stars Thicke’s wife Tonya and their 16-year-old son Carter.
