Duck Dynasty star, Sadie Robertson, the daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson, saying the main reason the family wanted to do the hit A&E show was to spread God’s message.

The 16-year-old reality star, whose grandfather is Phil Robertson, said her faith is her first priority.

“I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith," she told Fox News. "Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do."

Robertson continued, "When we began Duck Dynasty, we weren't starting it for fame. We started it to get the message of God out there."

She explained that her family’s show depicts a family with deeply-rooted values and belief in God, which is something we often don’t see these days.

The reality star admits that she does have people who doubt her, noting "I get a tweet at least once a day that says, 'I hope Sadie Robertson doesn't turn out like Miley Cyrus.'"

UPI reports Robertson is persuing other projects outside of the show, as she has a line of prom dresses, did a duet with singer Allison Kraus and she has a YouTube channel called "The New Different" with Preacher's Daughters star and friend Kolby Koloff.
