Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks has turned down an offer to appear on Dancing With The Stars, but he hopes to compete on the show in the near future.

The New York Daily News details how Wilson has passed up being on Dancing With The Stars twice, so he can focus on in his football career. Wilson lead the Seahawks to their first Superbowl victory in franchise history last month. Even though he has declined to be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars doesn't mean Wilson doesn't enjoy the show, in fact he likes watching it. Wilson says, "I love Dancing with the Stars."

CBS Sports reveals that when Wilson does finally decide to become a contestant on Dancing With The Stars, he will be joining a few of his fellow NFL players. Past NFL players who have competed on Dancing With The Stars includes Chad Johnson, Hines Ward, Jacoby Jones, Donald Driver, Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Kurt Warner, Michael Irvin, Keyshawn Johnson, Lawrence Taylor and Jason Taylor.
