Shailene Woodley has been giving fans a better glimpse into her life as she promotes her film Divergent, which hits theaters Friday, and during her appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, she continued that.
Woodley, 22, told Meyers she sold everything she owned after she finished filming the movie last year and lived a very carefree lifestyle. She said she “couch surfed” for a while and enjoyed every minute of it.
"I cruised and I hung out with my friends and family. I got rid of everything I owned. I got rid of my cell phone, and I fit my life into a carry-on suitcase and I just couch surfed for two months. It was awesome," she said.
"I explored so many couches that I didn't l know existed in my friends' homes. You know what's fun about that, though, is living in L.A, obviously, it's so spread out. I got to learn different areas that I didn't know about before,” she added, E! Online reports. She had been working for seven consecutive years before that, so she made the best out of her time off.
Woodley also revealed she makes her own toothpaste, calling it “fun.” She explained, “I make it out of clay. You put some coconut oil in there, a few essential oils if you feel like it, maybe some herbs.”
