Broadway actress and Smash alum Krysta Rodriguez has dropped out of CBS’ How I Met Your Dad pilot, starring Greta Gerwig, just days before cameras were set to roll.

Rodriguez joined the How I Met Your Mother spinoff earlier this month and was set to play Juliet, the best friend of Gerwig’s Sally character. The character ran a very successful fashion blog.

According to Deadline the character underwent major changes after a table read. Entertainment Weekly added some more details, noting that the producers believed Rodriguez wasn’t right for the new version of the character. Of course, casting changes are common for any pilot, but this one just happened only days before it was set to start filming in Los Angeles.

HIMYD is set to be similar to HIMYM, but with a female perspective. Gerwig is playing a woman who is just about to end her boring, short marriage and sets off to find the real man she was meant to marry. The male cast includes Anders Holm, Nick D’Agosto, Andrew Santino and Drew Tarver.

HIMYM creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays wrote the pilot with Emily Spivey. HIMYM ends its nine-season run on Monday.
