The CW's upcoming Supernatural spinoff Supernatural: Tribes has changed the name of the show to Supernatural: Bloodlines and will feature Melissa Roxburgh as the female lead.
According to TheWrap, Roxburgh will play Violet, who is a part of a strong werewolf pack in Chicago. Her character is in love with a werewolf from a rival pack, David, played by Nathaniel Bozulic.
Deadline reports that Bloodlines is set in the city of Chicago and deals with several monster families that are similar to mobsters and find themselves all targeted by a new hunter who wants to clean the city of any, and all monsters.
Others cast in the spinoff besides Roxburgh and Bozulic include Sean Faris and Stephen Martines. All those cast have previously appeared on the CW and its hit show Vampire Diaries. Roxburgh also has been in a season seven episode of Supernatural.
TheWrap notes that Andrew Dabb wrote the backdoor pilot, set to air April 29, and also is an executive producer alongside director Robert Singer. Other executive producers for Bloodlines include Jeremy Carver, McG and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
