Taylor Swift is the top monetary earner for 2014 according to Billboard. Swift has made this year alone $39,699,575.60 in revenue.

Last year alone, the country superstar sold over 10 million downloads of her music and Red topped the charts. The success of the album helped to launch another worldwide sold out tour for Swift.

Swift's earning was propelled forward by her Red tour in support of the album with the same title. For six months of touring the United States with the Red Tour, Swift made over $30 million dollars, Billboard reported.

The "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer made money off of ticket sales and merchandise on the Red tour. On average each concert attendee spent about $17 dollars in merchandise at each concert.

This is not the first time that Swift has topped this list, she did two years ago making over $35,719,902 in revenue, this was once again propelled forward by her Speak Now tour.

Irish Examiner added that Swift does not just make money off her music, she has created an entire brand around her name. She has even launched many highly successful perfume lines.
