Teen Wolf fans were left shocked and heartbroken when the show killed off one of its leading ladies, Allison, in the second to last episode of the third season. Crystal Reed, the brunette beauty who played the heroine, spoke out after the episode and revealed leaving the show was her decision.

"I think the age difference was something I wanted to change as well because she's 17," the 29-year-old told Huffington Post. As of right now, Reed doesn’t have any future projects in the works.

Despite her decision, Reed is “grateful” for the opportunity to play the fiery character on the show.

"I cannot be more grateful for what the show has given me,” she said. “It’s given me such a platform to be a role model, to be seen, to be heard... I feel that there’s nothing more that I can give to this character.”

Loyal fans reacted to the death of the character – who was deadly with a bow and arrow – by tweeting pictures of homemade arrow tattoos and even creating an online memorial, according to Daily Mail.

'The thing that I love about her is she’s a bad a** and she was honest and truthful, but at the same time she never forgot her femininity,” Reed said.
