The title of the upcoming fourth season of FX’s American Horror Story has finally been revealed, and it seems that possibilities for the show’s content are becoming clearer.
E! News reports that the show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy posted on Twitter Monday morning to expose the new season’s title Freak Show. This news comes shortly after the show’s writer, Douglas Petrie told press that the theme for the season would be “Carnival.” However, the news of the title comes with a promise that the season may not be what fans expect it to be.
“If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there’s some more clues in that year,” Murphy told reporters. “We try and do the opposite of what we’ve done before.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson are currently the only two to confirm their involvement in American Horror Story: Freak Show.
The new season is scheduled to debut in October.
