The third hour of The Oscars started with a tribute to The Wizard of Oz, which included a beautiful performance of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' by Pink, as well as a performance of 'Let it Go' from the movie Frozen by Idina Menzel.
Some of the presenters of the hour included Anna Kendrick, Jennifer Garner, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Evans, Jessica Beil, Jamie Foxx, and Robert DeNiro, Jennifer Lawrence and Will Smith.
Ellen announced that the photo she tweeted, which included Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep, Lupita Nyong'o, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Jared Leto, Channing Tatum and Kevin Spacey, broke the record for the most retweets, which was over 2 million.
A feature was shown to honor the celebrities that died this year including James Gandolfini, Paul Walker, Peter O'Toole, Roger Ebert, Shirley Temple Black, Harold Ramis, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Some of the winners of the hour included John Ridley for Best Adapted screenplay for 12 Years a Slave, and Spike Jonze for Best Original Screenplay for Her.
The big winners of the night were Alfonso Cuarón for Best Director for Gravity, Cate Blachette for Best Actress for Blue Jasmine, Matthew McConaughey for Best Actor for Dallas Buyers Club, and 12 Years a Slave for Best Picture.
