Tonight marks the final rounds of the battles for The Voice. This will led right into the second round of battles which will feature Chris Martin, from Coldplay, as a mentor for all four of the judges.

The first battle of the night was between Cary Laine going up against Sam Behymer from Team Adam. The ladies sang “Give Me Love” by Ed Sheeran. Shelton said that the ladies really captured the mode of that song and that both performances were very different. Usher added that both had unique voices and could do well in the competition. In the end, Levine decided to advance Behymer to the next round.

Kaleigh Glanton went up against Noah Lis in the next battle round. Shelton picked the Michael Buble classic “Everything” for Lis and Glanton to perform. Usher started off the comments by saying that Buble really has a sexy tone to his voice and that Lis matched that during the second half of the performance. Levine added that the song was more in Lis favor but he would choose Glanton to win the battle. After much deliberation, Shelton moved Glanton forward to the final battle rounds.

In quick battle recaps it was shown that Shelton advanced Ryan Whyte on his team to the second round of the battles and Christina Grimmie, a YouTube sensation, advanced on Team Adam. Shakira advanced Kristin Merlin.

From Team Shakira Cierra Mickens was up against Emily B. for the final battle of the night. Levine commented that the song was a very brave choice and that the most challenging moments of the song really shined for both vocalists. Shelton gave the battle to Emily B. The final decision came down to Shakira, who advanced Emily B.

With only one steal remaining Usher hit his button to steal Mickens, making her the final member of Team Usher.

The second round of battles will be kicking off next week on NBC.
