Jimmy Eat World was one of the early bands to be considered leaders in the indie rock genre. They came out of the musical gate swinging with their single, “The Middle.” The band is comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins, guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind.

The band had a unique musical sound, which stood out amongst other rock bands. Jimmy Eat World combined hard rock vocals with instruments that had elements of catchy pop music.
