Comedian Tracey Ullman has been tapped to co-star in the CBS pilot Good Sessions.

The former Tracey Ullman Show star will play a therapist named Ellen in the single-camera comedy, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Her character is described as perceptive, upfront and likes to use humor while helping couples who come to her.

Ullman joins the previously cast James Roday, who is set to be the male lead. His character is Joel, a middle-school guidance counselor and husband to Lindsay - a role not yet cast.

Good Sessions will follow Joel and Lindsay as they seek out therapy after finding out that after thinking they are a great couple, it turns out they disagree on when they should start their family.

The show comes from Chuck's Matt Miller and John Hamburg. Warner Bros. Television is producing the CBS comedy and executive produced by Miller and Hamburg.

Hamburg is also on board to direct the pilot based off a script to be written by Miller.

Roday currently stars on the ending USA Network show Psych, while this comedy, if picked up, will be Ullman's first series regular role. She recently guest starred in How I Met Your Mother's last season as Robin's mother.
