Fox's new series Surviving Jack opened low in the demo on Thursday, while CBS snagged a victory in the demo thanks to March Madness.
CBS averaged a 2.5 in the 18-49 demographic and 7.79 million viewers. Coverage of the Sweet Sixteen was up slightly from last year and was strong enough to top the other main networks, reports HitFix.
ABC followed with a 2.2 in the advertiser important demo and 6.76 million viewers. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland averaged a 0.9 in the demo and Grey's Anatomy was up to a 2.5 demo rating. Scandal was the strongest program in the demo for the night with a 3.1.
Fox pulled into third place with a 1.7 in the 18-49 demo and 5.9 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hell's Kitchen remained steady with a 1.8 in the demo, with a short American Idol down slightly to a 1.9 rating. Surviving Jack premiered to a 1.3 in the demo.
NBC aired mostly repeats of Hollywood Game Night and averaged a 1.2 rating and 4.3 million viewers. Parenthood was new and was up on the night to a 1.4 in the demo.
The CW's two programs slipped from last week on the night, with the network averaging a 0.7 and 1.6 million viewers. Vampire Diaries hit a series low with a 0.7 in the demo and Reign dipped to a 0.6 rating.
