Rapper Tyler, The Creator was arrested Saturday at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport in Texas for supposedly inciting a riot on Thursday at the Scoot Inn.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tyler was charged with Riot Class A Misdemeanor. His bond was set at $25,000.
The Odd Future rapper was performing at the Scoot Inn and when the venue reached its maximum capacity, he urged fans waiting outside to come inside by breaking down the gates.
Fans listened to the rap star and “pushed through the employees working at the door which created an immediate danger of injury to persons,” the affidavit said notes the Hollywood Reporter.
Austin authorities released video footage of the incident. In the footage, Tyler can be heard telling the crowd outside to “just run in right now.”
The rapper, whose real name is Tyler Gregory Okonoma, paid the $25,000 bond and was released on Saturday notes the Daily Mail.
After being released, Okonoma, 23, performed a sold-out show at the House of Blues in Dallas.
Okonoma’s reps have yet to comment on his arrest and the incident. He faces up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine for the misdemeanor.
