Victoria Beckham discussed everything about her glamorous career with Bag Snob's Tina Craig, Vanity Fair’s Jessica Diehl and her company’s head of global sales Saskia Terzani in an online chat for Skype’s Collaboration Project.
Beckham said about her foray into the fashion world from being an international pop star in the Spice Girls that she wanted to do it when the time was right.
“It wasn’t about me, the celebrity, it was about the product,” she said, Vanity Fair reports.
She also explained, “I love women. I want to empower women. I want to make women feel confident and sexy and good about themselves.”
In addition to her own designs, she Beckham is known for wearing some of the most sought after labels in the fashion world. She revealed during the chat that her first designer handbag was a Gucci bag and she got it when she was around 11 years old.
"My first bag was a Gucci carrier bag that my mother's friend gave me because she knew I loved designer bags,” she said. “I was probably about 11 or 12. It was actually a plastic bag, dark green with gold writing on it. I used to stuff all of my school books in there and it stretched and stretched and stretched and then the bottom just fell out!"
