Joe Francis and his girlfriend, Abbey Wilson, are expecting twin girls.
“We both wanted girls and we wanted them to be healthy and free of genetic diseases so we chose to do IVF,” Wilson told Us Weekly.
Wilson also explained how she knew from an early start that she was pregnant due to the changes in her body.
“I have always heard women say you just know when you are pregnant and I totally understand that now,” she said. “Your body, smell, sensitivity and cravings all change and mine did from day one. I found out shortly after a blood test confirmed the results and called Joe immediately, we were both screaming and so loud with excitement from each end of the phone!”
With the In Vitro Fertilization process, Wilson and Francis were able to decide on the children’s gender. However, Francis doesn’t seem to be worried about the household full of females.
“I believe people will finally understand my love, respect and admiration for women. I love girls,” he told Us Weekly after confirming that they deliberately chose to have girls.
All of the couple’s celebrity friends have also been supportive of Wilson’s pregnancy, particularly the couples who are also parents, like Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick along with Mario and Courtney Lopez.
“Kourtney and Scott were the first in the Kardashian family we told and they have already given us so much amazing advice,” Francis told Us Weekly according to Daily Mail.
Wilson added that their friends Mario and Courtney Lopez had already taken them to Bel Bambini to do some early baby shopping. She also said that Mario has now begun to coach Francis on the rules of fatherhood.
The couple has not revealed a due date for their expected twins.
